I may be very wrong of course but I have often thought that Sturgeon’s decision to appeal to the Supreme Court was a calculated move despite the refusal of the Lord Advocate to endorse it . Just about every informed source believed that her approach would fail but perhaps she knew that and hoped to use the inevitable result for further grievance . …..and furthermore perhaps she hoped to use the negative result as a legitimate excuse to cancel next year’s second referendum ( which was very glad to do …another two years on the gravy train) . Is she taking her supporters for a ride ?
